Outdoors 1 Background Image Collection

Introduction

These images were rendered in Unreal Engine 5, then processed using Adobe Photoshop and FotoSketcher. The landscape is Brushify - Forest Pack by Joe Garth, and the sky/atmospheric effects are from Ultra Dynamic Sky by Everett Gunther.

Technical Specifications

Both artistic and realistic versions of the backgrounds are available in 4K (3840 x 2160) and HD (1920 x 1080), in both lossless PNG and optimized WebP.

There are 10 outdoor scenes featuring rolling hills, sparse forests, and distant mountains. All scenes have two stylistic options: realistic (direct Unreal Engine output) and artistic (painting effect applied through FotoSketcher). Each scene also has six thematic variations:

• Dawn
• Dusk
• Foggy
• Night with Moon
• Night without Moon
• Sunny

About the Downloads

If you want to see what you're getting before you commit to downloading any of the image archives, there are preview PDFs available below that provide low-res thumbnail versions of all 60 scenes in the collection in either the artistic or realistic style.

The file downloads below are divided into Artistic and Realistic style options, then further categorized by resolution -- 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) and HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) -- and finally by format, in either lossless PNG or optimized WebP. Each .zip archive download contains a total of 60 image files (10 scenes with six thematic variations of each scene).

Each image file follows this naming convention:

collection_style_scene_theme_resolution

So, for example, if a file was the third scene in 4K resolution, using the artistic style and the sunny setting, its file name would look like this:

outdoors1_art_03_sunny_4k

For another example, if a file was the fifth scene in HD resolution, using the realistic style and the night with Moon setting, its file name would look like this:

outdoors1_real_05_moon_hd
